Our 7 Stages of Minimalism post was such a big hit, it spurred my inspiration for today’s post. Today’s post is another just for fun one – it’s silly and meant to be taken lightly! When it comes to minimalism – there is no one size fits all. You need to find your minimalist comfort zone.   Enjoy today’s essay on the six types of minimalists!

The Six Types of Minimalists – which one are you?

Creative Minimalist
The Creative Minimalist is resourceful, brilliant, and artsy. They embrace minimalism as a way to express themselves. They can be frequently found turning “trash” into art, donating to thrift stores, and their home is carefully decorated with furniture they found and improved.

Traveling Minimalist
The Traveling Minimalist is more on the extreme side. They’re adventurous, outgoing, and always have a smile on their face. They may have less than 100 items total and can easily live out of a suitcase. Their dream house may be a tiny house or RV.

Accidental Minimalist
What? I’m a minimalist? How did that happen? The Accidental Minimalist stumbled upon minimalism or may have been fairly minimalistic to begin with. That’s OK though, the Accidental Minimalist enjoys it regardless. Sometimes good things stem from accidents, right?

Professional Minimalist
The Professional Minimalist is a working professional who has lofty dreams and goals to downsize and simplify. They’re driven, passionate, and dream big. They may have embraced minimalism to reduce their bills and limit their workload in order to be able to travel.

Original Minimalist
The Original Minimalist has been enjoying a life of minimalism for ages, perhaps even before the internet was around. They’ve been loving their simple lifestyle almost all their life and can’t picture having it any other way. They’re down to earth, loving, and often filled with wisdom.

Curious Minimalist
The Curious Minimalist may not actually be minimalist, but they are interested and curious in the simpler lifestyle. They may even dabble and enjoy some the benefits of minimalism. They embrace a simpler lifestyle but are not quite ready to scale down too much. They love their life and may be looking to simply declutter some and become organized.
