Sailing in New Zealand

I’m not a sailor. I’ve never been on a sail boat, and the longest I was out to sea was for 4 days on a cruise ship. So – when I was given the opportunity to participate in a sailing race I jumped at it. And it was the perfect day for such a journey.

The boat was small, but large enough that someone could easily live in the space. There was a couch which pulled out into a bed, a small kitchen and bathroom, and even a little shower. It was cozy and perfect for someone who would enjoy living on the sea. But for me, one round of the race and I was ready to be back on dry land. Although, I will admit the view was fantastic!
